I've been reading recently about nvidia's SLI ready graphics cards (I have a low end one; Gigabyte GeForce 8500GT; it states SLI ready but I don't have the motherboard to support it) and am curious about how well it actually works. Whether or not it's actual beneficial. Is it only good for gaming or does it have other good uses.
Anyone out there have this kind of setup? Would be interesting to hear comments.

Some programs I have found to be helpful or at least I have come to think of as being pretty damn good, for me at least.
Comodo Firewall Pro - they say this one is probably the best of the free ones. I went with the reviews. For all that's involved in the program I'd say yes. It certainly beats the free version of Zone Alarm.
Avira AntiVir Personal Edtion Classic - I like this program. I've been using it for some time.
Spybot - good proggie. Like the immunize part.
Spyware Terminator - I like the real time shield in this program that's damn handy. Although I don't do as much 'surfing the web' as I use to back in the day I'd say this program will save people on numerous occassions as it has done for me. This and Spybot is a good combo.
Advanced Windows Care V2 Personal - it's a good little utility program I found on CNET/Download. Spyware Removal/Security Defense/Registry Fix/System optimization/Startup manage/Privacy Sweep/Junk Files Cleanup.
SpeedUpMyPC 3 - an interesting program. Don't really know how much good it actually does. (this program isn't free though it'll only scan, you have to buy, or not)
Auslogics Disk Defrag - although I do have my hard drives formated for NTFS and as they say (I'm not certified in the tech fields just a fairly well informed user, or somewhere there abouts, everyone should be) there isn't a whole lot of fragging going on. This little program was pretty fast for a defrag. It would certainly have taken a great deal longer if I left it up to Microsoft's built in one, that's for certain. Fragmentation was of course very little but I did it anyway just for the hell of it.
Overall I dig these. Seems fine to me. Everyone else probably has there own little setup that's better or somewhere close.

Yeah. So. I'm seriously looking forward to this coming Friday of the new Season 4 of Battlestar Galactica. I've been religiously watching the show since the mini series. Have all the DVD's of each season including Razor. Although I initially missed the entire Season 3 not having cable at the time to watch it on the Sci Fi channel I did have a friend download the entire season from a torrent which was damn handy.
All the fuss over who's the final cylon is funny. Even had me going too. I have no idea. At one point I think I had an idea and then I said to myself you know what, let me just watch the damn show in peace so I can be surprised. That's why I like LOST.
Ya know I never could figure out why all the old Battlestar fans were/are either pissed off or somewhere in between. I watched the show when I was a kid (when it was actually on TV in the 70's). I don't have a problem with it. I thought the whole premise of the re-imagined BSG was awesome. And still IS. Never had a problem with Starbuck either. I like the fact there's such an interesting difference in characters and the storylines. I love the fact that it's a much more serious version of Sci Fi, missing from television, drama.
The special effects and so forth are beautiful and superb. Everytime I watch certain episodes I think yeah fuck yeah that's right on. Perfect.
Like for instance the episode where Galactica jumps into the atmosphere, falls, launches Vipers and jumps out during the New Caprica rescue. Sweet. The instance in Razor where the Pegasus jumps before the nukes hit. During the episode Scar flying around asteroids and such.
3 more days. Cool. Now that I think about where has the time gone. Going by pretty quickly.
